Sphere 5.2 - What Are The File Locations For Sphere?

File Locations

The Sphere application resides in the following locations:

•  macOS

/Applications/Sphere by Horizen.app

•  Linux

/opt/Sphere by Horizen/spherebyhorizen

•  Windows 10

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\spherebyhorizen\

Sphere relies on various support files other than the actual application. Those files are stored in the following directories:

•  sphereDatadir

location for wallet.dat and blockchain
Note: this directory only exists when Sphere has been run in full mode (at least once), if Sphere has only ever been run in lite mode this directory will not exist. 

•  Sphere by Horizen

location for preferences and logs (SphereByHorizen for logs on Windows)

•  horizen

location for zend application files and encrypted .awd wallet files

Note: this directory contains the wallet files for lite mode Sphere.

Below are the locations for these directories. Some, such as spheredatadir and horizen may be in hidden directories.

•  Linux

User's Home directory (Hidden folders beginning with '.')
