How do I recover my wallet?
If you are using a Full Mode Account (even if it is currently in Light Mode) read and understand the information at the following link:
Sphere by Horizen - Upgrade / Restore (Mac/Linux)
Otherwise proceed:
If you have lost either your Account Name or your Password, then you will have to recover your wallet(s) using your 24 word Backup Phrase(s).
If you suspect that your existing wallet file has become corrupted this is applicable. Symptoms of a corrupt wallet file are:
- Unable to enter account with known good Account Name and Password
- Missing GUI elements
- Missing wallets - unable to view addresses
- Appearance of a wallet spend password where one had not been set
Each wallet has its own Backup Phrase.
Sphere is not a web wallet or cloud service.
The account information is always local to the individual PC. One instance of Sphere has no knowledge of any other.
