Sphere 3.1 - Private Transactions And Full Mode
Private transaction and Private Messaging require that Sphere run in Full Mode.
A complete copy of the blockchain must have been downloaded by Sphere.
Add a private address to Sphere
• Click the Add Address button in the Wallet Overview.
• Check the Private box.
• Give the new address a Nickname.
• Click Confirm button.
See Figure 1.
Notice the Shield icon and the longer address. These indicate a Private address.
See Figure 2.
When sending private to private transaction (z to z) you have the option to include a Private Memo. This is part of the transaction and will be visible by the recipient and in your Transaction History.
See Figure 3.
Private transactions take longer than transparent transactions due to the computation of the zk-SNARK encryption.
You can see a larger version of each Figure by double-clicking on it.
