Creating a Manual Backup of Your Wallet

Whenever adding a new address or importing any private key(s), you MUST create a new backup as all your previous backups will not contain the private keys for the newly added/imported addresses!

Arizen wallet has a
great
convenient feature for making
back-ups
backups of your wallets.
And we recommend you to use it.
It is highly recommended to make regular backups to an offline device, such as an encrypted USB thumb drive.
If you’re logged in, you can export
or import
your wallet
in
in *.
uawd or *.awd. This process causes that you manually create a back- up file of your wallet or you import the back-up wallet into Arizen. Click on menu item File and choose option Back-up or Import, see Fig. 1.22.

  • Click on menu item "File" and choose option "Backup", see Figure 1.11.
  • If you choose option "Backup ENCRYPTED" wallet you’ll see an important warning on your screen (Figure 1.12). It informs you that your private keys will be encrypted and in order to access them, you need to know the credentials, otherwise you cannot control your ZEN. Confirm that you understand this fact by clicking on "I understand".
  • If you choose option "Backup UN-ENCRYPTED" wallet you’ll see an important warning on your screen (Figure 1.13). It informs you that your wallet will be exported in plain text. It means that anyone who has the file with this text can control with your ZEN. Confirm that you understand this fact by clicking on "I understand".
