Expectations
The Horizen blockchain rewards node operators with a percentage of the block reward to run and maintain a quality, fast and reliable node.
It is expected that node operators have the ability to:
- Follow this guide to completion
- Run the node
- Update the node
- Maintain the node
Regular security updates and Horizen software updates will be made on a quarterly basis. Periodically, interim updates will occur to improve the security, features, performance, and reliability of the network. Requirements will not stay static. An operator must be able to perform system migration and to perform upgrades. Increasing requirements, such as extending available disk space, will require an operator to actively monitor and maintain the operating system. Horizen does not offer Linux system administration support.
